I got to try out Blue Boy Sandwich Shop in Jacksonville, Fl. It is Jacksonville’s oldest sandwich shop operating since 1962. The place is simple yet homey especially with the walls decorated with some rich Jacksonville history, sports and photos of customers who’ve visited including Guy Fieri! The sandwiches are massive served in generous portions that can feed a family of 4. I ordered the Peruvian Gold chicken and Bacon full sub combo. This one had Fried chicken, bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms bell peppers, Peruvian gold dressing which we sweet to balance out the savoriness from the chicken and bacon. It tasted delicious! The chicken was cooked perfectly not dry but very tender and juicy. The Swiss cheese complimented all the ingredients. I could tell the chef put a lot of care into cooking the food. For the side I had crinkle cut fries which were crunchy and seasoned just right. For the drink I had their cherry limeade which tasted so good! The service overall was good considering I visited during the mid day rush for lunch. The staff were friendly and made sure I was taken care of and enjoyed the food. I recommend giving Blue Boy Sandwich Shop a try to get taste of not only delicious food but a taste of some Jacksonville history. Thanks to Blue Boy Sandwiches for having me!! I will for sure be paying another visit to try out the other sandwiches!

Just checked out @BlueBoySandwichShop and I’m already planning my next visit! 🥪✨ I ordered the #8 Steak Sub with fries, and wow—the portion alone is enough to feed 2–3 people. What really sets them apart is that they make their own bread in-house, and you can absolutely taste the difference. Fresh, flavorful, and the perfect foundation for an incredible sandwich. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, and you can tell there’s so much love and care poured into every item they serve. Between the generous portions, homemade bread, and genuine hospitality, it’s easy to see why people keep coming back. If this was my first sandwich, I can only imagine how good the rest of the menu is. I can’t wait to come back and try more! ❤️🥖
What a hidden gem! The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were huge — definitely enough to leave you beyond full and happy. We didn’t have to wait at all, but we also happened to go at a great time and were the only customers there. Honestly, it’s surprising that the place wasn’t busier because the food was incredible and for the price you could feed an entire family. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The staff was New York style friendly 🤣, (genuinely nice but busy) the service was quick, and the overall experience was fantastic. At the time of our visit there was only one person working and he was running the whole restaurant like a seasoned champ and honestly impressed with his ability to chat with us about the shop, make out offer as well as the other people that came in to pick up and still deliver such speedy service! My only complaint would be why isn’t this place on every street! We’re so glad we found this spot and can’t wait to come back again. If you’re looking for amazing sandwiches, beautifully seasoned fries, and extremely generous portions, this place is definitely worth a visit!
The absolute BEST Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had!!! The French fries were also out of this world - smells like fresh baked bread inside with fantastic service. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I ordered the club which had bacon, turkey, ham, they were out of all beef items. It took about 26 minutes to get my sandwich. Not sure if it was just the timeout day was around 1:40pm or the fact it was 3 people were working. I might give them another chance. The sandwich was good though
