Bliss By The Sea

Bliss by the Sea is truly a gem. So cute, peaceful, and romantic. It’s in a great location just a few minutes from the beach access and 15-20 minutes from the historic district. The building and rooms have so much character, it totally beats staying in a basic chain hotel. My husband and I have stayed here multiple times and have loved it each time. This time we stayed in room 12 on the top floor. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a beautiful living room, kitchen, and dining area. It also has a huge balcony with rooftop access. We will definitely be back.

Kept awake from 1:30am to 7:00 am due to a couple fighting. My husband was promised a partial refund and it was never received. Paper thin walls, no garbage cans, no manager on site and a dock with several issues. Will never stay here again.

Interesting building. Easy access after hours with door codes, as we were there after front desk staff had left. Nice view of the intracoastal. You'd better like your partner because the bed was extremely concaved, rolling you toward the center. No coffee machines in the room as advertised. Breakfast was continental, with the only warm food coming from the toaster. Quality if the food was good, but limited.

This place was a good place to stay but some of the amenities mentioned were not provided or were unusable. One big one for us were the pools. They were dirty and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for awhile. One was green. I also got a pool net to try to clean it out to swim and found a dead crab in it. Also there is the complimentary breakfast it doesn’t exist we went down there at various times of morning 7am,8am,9am and there was never breakfast. My last complaint would be that staff is almost never there and if you book with Airbnb they have an average response time of 5 hours. The Airbnb we had was run by the bliss by the sea and a co-host so they were the ones responsible for answering us. Half of our stay the front office staff were working remotely because of “slow season”. on the bright side the room was very nice and clean. It was beautiful and we loved the balcony. Also it was about a 2 min drive to the beach which was great. There is also a dock with access to the water on the side of the hotel. Overall I would say this is an ok place to stay but don’t expect most of the amenities mentioned.
