I genuinely hate having to write this review because Bite a Bagel used to be one of our favorite spots. Unfortunately, over the past several months, we’ve found ourselves going less and less frequently because the quality and consistency have noticeably declined. Today’s experience was particularly disappointing. My wife specifically requested crispy bacon, which was anything but crispy. Worse, I ordered a Turkey BLT, got home, and discovered there was absolutely no turkey on the sandwich. The coleslaw that’s supposed to come on it was missing as well. How do you make a Turkey BLT and forget the turkey? I tried calling to request a refund for the incorrect order, but the phone went straight to voicemail. I called quite a few more times with the no answer. It’s frustrating enough to pay for food that isn’t prepared correctly, but not being able to reach anyone to address the issue makes it that much worse. We used to genuinely love this place, which is what makes this so disappointing. I understand mistakes happen, but the declining quality over the past few months, combined with today’s experience and lack of customer service, is really frustrating. Im disappointed, Bite-a-bagel.. that’s all
Been about a year since coming here. Used to be our favorite bagel go to spot. Would go at least once a month. Not sure what took us so long to come back but now that I have I’m shocked at the difference. (and not for the good) First, it is 95 degrees out. It was like a sauna in the store. I asked if their air conditioner was out figuring that can happen to anyone, but no, this is their normal. Told the air is actually working but can’t keep up with the ovens?? Now I’m no expert in heating and cooling but NO WAY that’s the issue. It was cooler to sit and eat outside in the July heat. Besides it was around 11:30am so doubt they were baking much at that time. The poor workers looked so hot and miserable and still tried to put out friendly smiles. 2nd their bagels have changed. Very doughy and thinner. Husband had same concerns, wasn’t toasted and had no firmness at all, compressed together when bitten. Not at all what I remembered. Mine was also not toasted as I asked it to be. Also the drink fountain (but for water) was out of order. I am sad as this was such a great little spot. The food overall wasn’t bad it just didn’t give me a reason to want to come back. I also discussed bringing home some bagels with my husband prior to getting the food and after getting the food changed our mind.
This is the best bagel spot in town. Not even close. Their bagels are fresh and the breakfast sandwiches are amazing. Always great, friendly service here. Their jalapeño cheddar bagel is the best I’ve ever had. Very unique in that it’s crumbled, burnt jalapeños on top of bagel. Everything I’ve ever gotten from here is on point. Lox, cream cheeses, breakfast platters etc. Really happy to have found this place!
My favorite bagel place! The bagels here are made fresh throughout the day, although they do sell out often. They are very busy on the weekends, so I'd recommend ordering ahead through the phone (not answered on there weekends due to the amount of customers, but you can place orders days ahead) or online. The staff are super helpful and friendly. My favorite order is an asiago bagel toasted with veggie cream cheese. I also like the onion bagel BEC! There's three tables with four chairs each inside, which can fill up fast. The store is clean, the staff are attentive, and the food is incredible! They do catering as well, and even often donate the leftover bagels to charities or schools. It's a small business, and I love to support them! Pros: Delicious food, many options. Clean store, fun New York theme (bagel dough is straight from NYC). Lovely kind staff, good prices for the area, and just incredible service. Cons: Can get very busy, especially on the weekend, but that's how you know it's good! Wait times can be long for grill items when busy as well. Things sell out fast when busy, get there early.
These bagels are light and just magnificent! I drive over 17 miles one way and always wonder why I don’t come more often after a stop. This is the best bagel shop in Florida! Always clean!
