We visited the beach on a night when my heart was heavy. It was well lit, not to many people just a few couples out there. I released all I had on my shoulders that night. The beach patrol rode by checking the water a few times(I'd say about 5 times) or so in the 3 hours I was there. Overall I loved it!!!

The waiting time was just for finding parking in the designated parking areas. The parking areas also charge for parking but it's cheap and convenient to access beach and they are also wheelchair accessible. But I would recommend checking it out for a family beach day or just a day cation or vacation.
My rule is if I am a block away from the beach, I must go. However, I cannot get sand in my running shoes.!!! No plastic bag, can’t hold them for 2 miles with trying to take photos. Thank goodness my ingenuity kicked in. The parking lot was small. The parking was free! The beach access is very close to the water! The sand dune was not extremely high which was great, but there was an incline.
It was a super windy day no getting in the water but so beautiful and clean!
Great beach with free public parking, if you get there early enough. The first and original American life-saving guard station is just a couple hundred yards up the beach, and a lifeguard is stationed here daily. Enjoy the pre-dawn pic I was fortunate to snap.
