Bayfront Marin House

This was my second time at this beach cottage hotel. I did a different cottage this time. The room was on the second floor and had a great view of the water but it had a private patio on the first floor. I couldn't really use it because of all the wondering cats with dander all over the furniture. And there was no real light so you couldn't use it a night, it was pitch black. The room was okay but it would have been nice to understand the floor plan a bit better, the pictures didn't really help. Overall, nice stay but I will probably do a different cottage.

Truly what a delightful experience at Bayfront Marin House. From originally creating my reservation, to arriving, and my departure, everything was seamless and efficient. The ladies at the Front Desk are wonderful and were so kind and helpful, as well as communicative. I stayed in the Jose Simeon Suite which was absolutely beautiful and I'd highly recommend for any solo travelers or a couple wanting a romantic getaway. The property itself is gorgeous and well maintained, and their breakfast and happy hour offerings are delicious. It's very centrally located to the historic downtown St. Augustine area and very walkable. I felt safe walking around at night by myself which was nice. While there is paid street parking, some suites don't offer onsite parking - this one included. However, the lot to park in was a minute walk away and I felt fine keeping my car there overnight and when I wasn't using it! All in all, if I'm ever in St. Augustine again, this will be the only place I stay at. If you're thinking of staying here - just do it. It's absolutely worth it! I was planning a last-minute getaway for one night and in true husband fashion handled all details except a place to sleep until we were driving towards the coast from about two hours away. I searched for B&Bs and the Bayfront Marin House was listed and looked nice. Then I saw they had houses on the beach and adjacent to the beach in their properties. Fortunately they had availability at one property on the water for one night. Everything else was booked for the weekend and beyond. I called to confirm it was truly available and a very friendly gentleman helped complete the booking over the phone and provided instructions for parking and entry to the home. Then he offered to have breakfast delivered in the morning which we accepted gratefully. The home was great. Clean, comfortable and a wonderful location with a direct line of sight, front row seat style view of the coastal dunes and waves breaking along the shore. We will return with plans made in advance to enjoy this property for a longer stay in the future. I highly recommend the Bayfront Marin House properties for anyone looking to be on the coast with direct access to the beach. Such a good spot and a reasonable price for the location and accommodations.

We could not have more pleased with our stay at Bayfront Marin House. The location was perfect - close to everything without being stuck in the middle, scenic view of the harbor, Bridge of Lions and anchored sailboats. Parking provided just around the corner - an easy, easy walk of a couple of minutes. The hospitality was warm, friendly and went the extra distance. (Personalized ice cream service before the fireworks! Nice touch - thank you!) Our room was really spacious, clean, bright and overlooked the open courtyard with patio tables & chairs and grassy area with a hammock. Perfect. We will be back and would not think of staying anywhere else in St. Augustine.
