Such a beautiful church! I am visiting and as a lifelong Catholic, I treasured the offer of confession shortly before Sunday mass and the rosary being prayed softly over the loud speaker for all in attendance while we wait for mass to begin. After the rosary, the Divine Mercy chaplet was recited. This was something new to me but so beautiful! Mass being offered at 10am allowed me to travel the 20 minutes to get there easily, no rushing. Such an inviting, lovely parish! So glad I visited!
Went for morning Mass on a Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. It was about 30 minutes long. The church is beautiful inside and out, with a long history and very well preserved. There is good information available, and the atmosphere is peaceful.
Very cool piece of history and also an active church building with daily worship services and confessions.
There is a lack of luster and love for Jesus Christ within the eyes of the priests. The priest was scrolling on his phone during my confession and my fiancées. A different priest missed my mouth during communion due to old age (totally fine) and was visibly irritated and said I hadn’t opened my mouth enough. (Not okay) my fiancée and I went out to pray with a homeless lady struggling and was told by a security guard of the church to “Not give her anything”. We will not be returning and I urge the general public to avoid this place if you have a thirst for Jesus Christ. This is not a good representation of the Catholic Community nor of Jesus Christ Himself.
A beautiful church to Our Blessed Mother. We were there on a Monday afternoon for the 12:10 Mass and were impressed by the size of the group that was present. The windows are stunning, and some that I haven't seen before (which is getting more and more difficult). The Pieta near the entrance is of particular brilliance, and quite moving. A very easy place to pray and feel in the presence of God. There is a small parking lot across the street from the main entrance, which is free for liturgical services. The prayer garden is also a lovely feature.
