Barrett Financial Group - Eric Sotolongo

Our experience with Barrett Financial has been unbelievably frustrating and completely unacceptable. This lender has repeatedly delayed our closing due to internal issues that were entirely within their control. Critical information was not communicated in a timely manner, required steps were either overlooked or handled at the last minute, and the lack of transparency throughout the process has caused unnecessary stress for everyone involved. In real estate, timelines matter. People coordinate movers, work schedules, housing transitions, and financial planning around a closing date. When a lender fails to perform basic responsibilities or communicate honestly about the status of a loan, it can jeopardize the entire transaction. Despite providing the requested documentation and cooperating fully throughout the process, we are still dealing with avoidable delays and poor communication. This has created a situation where the closing timeline continues to be uncertain due to the lender’s handling of the file. Borrowers and agents deserve clear communication, competence, and professionalism when navigating something as important as a home purchase. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience with Barrett Financial. Based on our experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering using this lender. A mortgage process should not feel like a constant battle for answers and accountability.

My experience with Eric Sotolongo was a blessed one. His knowledge, caring heart and spirit of excellence made the process very enjoyable and brought me peace that I had found someone with integrity. That would lead me down the path to find God's will for my life. His patience and understanding was much appreciated as he helped get me qualified for a mtg loan that was perfectly suited for my financial goals. I recommend him and his company highly.
