Dr. Whitley is truly an exceptional physician! She has an incredible bedside manner and has provided excellent care for both myself and my children. She takes the time to listen, thoroughly addresses every medical concern, and never makes us feel rushed. What stands out most is how genuinely she cares about the wellbeing of her patients. She is compassionate, attentive, knowledgeable, and always makes us feel heard and cared for. I’m incredibly grateful to have a physician I can trust with the health of my family. Highly recommend Dr. Whitley!
At first I was nervous that Dr Harris was leaving and Dr Whitley was replacing her. My experience with Dr Whitley has been great. Her and her staff value your time, and your privacy. I feel comfortable entrusting her with my health concerns as she has proven VERY knowledgable..
I am now looking for another doctor within the Baptist System and I thankfully found one, just waiting on a transfer. I was seeing Dr. Williams who was great - but there was a huge disconnect about my birth control care. I have no idea why I ever trusted just a PCP to do birth control care, when I clearly should have been seeing an OBGYN. I will admit partially my fault, not a problem at all. But because my birth control was mismanaged due to a gap in my care the issues went on and on and on. I was on Seasonale and it was a slow decline from about October 2023 to now. I had to strip medication, go through TMS and IV Ketamine with a local mental health practice to realize that the birth control was why I had a suicide attempt back in October 2023 (which them another doctor masked all the noise from the birth control with duloxetine). There were just too many cooks in the kitchen and it was impossible to see the issues until I became the manager of my own care and dropped the birth control and all the CNS and autonomic stuff has stopped. I went back on the old birth control, and honestly I would rather be on that and have some heavy bleeding issues than be back on seasonale having no idea why I was chronically gaining weight, my cholesterol kept going up no matter what I ate or did. I work out 5-6 days a week, eat correctly, and my weight was completely out of control. Part of the issues is one of the nurses there at one point at one visit was talking about politics and how people were harassing her because she didn't vote (2024 election) which is beyond oversharing. Then another visit she was going on and on about the workload and the unfairness in this place - again oversharing. Then told me on the last visit that if I had extra questions to ask the doctor that I would get charged a copay by my insurance. No idea why anyone would tell someone to not ask questions because of insurance copays - I had issues but you know what? I kept my mouth shut because of it. Probably why this kept dragging out on and on and on past February of this year. My life was ruined by this birth control - I highly recommend not ever allowing a PCP to manage your birth control. I had 3 ER doctors over look it, multiple nurses, and multiple doctors could not make the connection that this birth control was autonomically poisoning me. Elevated HR, chronic weight gain, and when I went to do TMS it activated an already activated system and I was in the ER on Christmas. I am mad as all get out, and I will not be returning to this practice. There was just a lot of mismanagement, a lot of not connecting the dots, and a lot of pushing away patient info. I cannot rightly blame the TMS doctor because he was right IT WASN'T TMS. It was Seasonale. I will be going back to my old OBGYN and will not be returning here. That being said Dr. Prostollo is excellent and I cannot fault her in this, it was really the gap between the two doctors that exascerbated this.
Dr. Whitley and Staff, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the care and kindness you showed me during my recent visit. I appreciate the time you took to listen to my concerns and thoroughly evaluated my symptoms. You were caring, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable. I never felt rushed, and I felt that my concerns were taken seriously. Your professionalism and attention to detail gave me confidence that I was receiving excellent medical care. I would also like to thank your nurse and office staff. Everyone was friendly, respectful, and welcoming. It is clear that your office is committed to treating patients with kindness and dignity. I left my appointment feeling heard, encouraged, and hopeful. In today's world, it is not always easy to find healthcare providers who combine medical expertise with genuine compassion, and I am grateful to have found that in your practice. Thank you for the excellent care you provide to your patients each day. May God continue to bless you and your staff as you help others. Thank you Dr. Whitley!
Dr Whitley is a great doctor. I started bringing my 10 year old and 16 year old daughters here about a year ago. The Dr is able to communicate with them on a level I am unable to and that is why she will forever be our family doctor. She has no issues saying what needs to be said (even if it’s ugly) but she does it in the kindest way possible.
