Beautiful brand new office and wonderful, kind team! Ms. Shannon, office manager, is wonderful. Dr. Joseph and Dr. Alvarado are the most caring physicians across the board.
Doctor
I like how modern the office looks compared to the Lakewood office location I had been previously going to. The rooms and the waiting are bigger and there is ample parking. Also, my doctor, Kristina Santiago is by far the best doctor I have ever had. Major kudos to her. She has been my doctor for several years going back to when she was working out of the Baptist Health Lakewood location. Dr. Santiago is such a great doctor that I plan to keep her as my primary physician after I move out of state. Her level of care is worth me traveling back to Jacksonville for my exams. The way I see it, there are good doctors and there are rock star doctors. Dr. Santiago is a rock star. I don't remember her assistant's name but she was also very nice and professional. Overall, I can say that from here on out, that office and Dr. Santiago are my primary options for healthcare, even it it means flying all the back to Jacksonville from Las Vegas.
I had been a patient at this practice since I was around 15 years old, back when it was owned by Dr. Payvand Tiurchy. I had been going there for many years and always felt comfortable with the practice. Unfortunately, my experience completely changed after Dr. Neirouz Joseph took over. I have ADHD and autism, and I also have pretty severe social anxiety. I take prescribed ADHD medication, and honestly, I always felt like Dr. Joseph was judging me for taking it. I never felt like she really understood that everyone is different and that just because someone looks completely fine on the outside doesn’t mean they don’t struggle with things that other people can’t see. Eventually, she decided that she no longer wanted me as a patient because she did not want to continue renewing my ADHD medication. After being a patient there for so many years, I was honestly very disappointed and hurt by how the situation was handled. I understand that doctors have the right to decide what medications they are comfortable prescribing. But as a patient, I also believe you should feel heard, respected, and understood by your doctor, especially when it comes to something as personal as mental health and medication. I’m sharing this because I wish I had known about this experience before continuing with the practice after the change in ownership. If you take ADHD medication or have anxiety, ADHD, autism, or other conditions that may not be obvious from the outside, I would recommend asking questions about the doctor’s approach to these medications before choosing this practice.
The whole staff is very friendly. I love that Dr Alvarado takes her time and listens to me. She’s very caring and has read through my records before coming in to see me. Her staff also stays on top of my prescriptions! That’s so helpful!
I really like the office. The ladies are nice and welcoming. I love my doctor, Dr. Santiago! She's amazing and very knowledgeable. She takes good care of me!
