Baptist Primary Care - Brooklyn Family Medicine

Well, I had a very disappointing experience here today, I will be searching for a new primary care provider. I’ve had some less than great experiences in the past with the staff at this office, but nothing like what I had today. Would give zero stars if possible. My appointment was early this morning- and I went inside in a great mood! I was looking forward to talking to my doctor about a lot of things, but after the check in process, I had to force myself not to just leave without seeing her.

Dr Kinman is knowledgeable and really listens to his patients. His expertise with manual adjustments is so beneficial for his patients and he knows which labs are important for tracking the health and wellness of those who walk through his door. I feel supported and seen as a human and not just a name on a chart at this office.

Edit to my last review: Like i said in my last review the Dr was sick that day so it can totally explain the attitude. I know i have one when i dont feel good. And i purposely left her name out of the review because I think that everybody has their own experience and should be able to schedule with any dr without bias and then leave their own review based off how a provider and office was for them. I just got her on a bad day. But after tonight I'm giving this Dr 5 stars!! She has restored my faith in this practice. She DIFFERENT AND ON A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL THAN THE MAJORITY OF MOST Drs!!! This women called me well after office hours and discussed my lab results with me for almost a hour!! She said she had just seen my labs, some were alarming levels and she wanted to call me immediately to discuss them. She explained every lab she ran, the results, and a plan of action to get my levels back to where they should be. How many Dr's you know that will call you at 8pm and discuss medical issues for almost a hour? NONE...until I met her!! I greatly appreciate her calling me so late for that and look forward to seeing her again!!! By the way she was actually cool and really nice. And I get why I got the attitude at the last appt. 1. She wasn't feeling well 2. I was a new patient and she wasn't given enough time on the schedule to deal with all the symptoms I came in with...lol 3. There was a fire drill that interrupted the appt. I can say I saw the niceness and attitude in her at the initial appt. But like I just said I LOOK FORWARD to working with her and seeing her again!! INITIAL REVIEW: The staff was friendly but I had a few issues with the Dr's attitude. Now I understand when you not feeling well you can be a little grumpy so that wasnt the issue. The dr apologized for being under the weather & said she didn't want to reschedule her patients. Ok great. But when she realized I was a new patient, she says, "How did you get on my schedule? I don't see new patients. You must have scheduled online." And I was there to discuss a physical and getting lab work done for issues I felt I was having. I had bariatric surgery 2 yrs ago. I havent had certain vitamin levels checked in over a year. I know when my vitamin D and iron is low because ive had these issues in the past. And i discuss all my symptoms with her. By the end of the appt she says, "oh you not here for a physical you got other issues that you're discussing." If I'm telling you, I haven't seen a dr in over a year, I feel like my iron and vitamin D is low, wouldn't addressing those issues be part of a physical by ordering labs? Then my appt to discuss the lab results she pushed it out 2 months before I see here to get the result!! SHE pushed it out, NOT the SCHEDULING DEPT!! Now I could be having a serious medical issue, my levels can be dangerously low and you push out giving me the results 2 months. Mind you I can see when the results come back. They've been back for 2 weeks, but I don't see her for another month! And this could have been done even sooner had the the phlebotimist had all the tubes needed on the day of my initial appt. Then the following week she was out sick. Finally saw her on the following Friday. So that was 3 Fridays in a row that I fasted before actually finally getting the blood work. Mind you, i can see when the results cone back. The labs started coming back within a week and all of then back within 2 weeks. So why am I not seeing her for results for another month? Never have I ever had labs done and the dr push the appt out 2 months to give results!! And as busy as that practice is, why only have 1 phlebotomist on staff!! Also I heard the front staff say about the Dr, she already got an attitude, don't schedule the patient back on that day. And I hear the other girl say well that's when she wanted the patient to come back, so I'll explain that's why I put her on the schedule like that. It's not good when it's first thing in the morning and your patient and staff realize you have an attitude!!

I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to waste your day off from work. Waited over two hours to not be seen by a provider. The office staff is unorganized doesn’t give any information and they are not welcoming. Waited literally three months to get in with a doctor and took off work and still have to wait to be seen by another physician. Extremely unprofessional.
