I have been very disappointed with our recent experiences with this pediatric practice, particularly when we actually needed care or assistance as established patients. The first issue(Apr-2026), was when I tried to schedule an appointment for my daughter to obtain documentation of her vaccinations for school. I was initially told that the earliest available appointment was more than a month away. I explained that we are established patients at this practice and that we needed the documentation much sooner. I asked whether this could be handled as a wellness visit, since those appointments appeared to be available much sooner. However, I was told that they could not provide the vaccination documentation during a wellness visit. After a lengthy conversation and asking to speak with a supervisor, the supervisor was eventually able to find an appointment within a week, and we were able to get the documentation. I appreciate that the supervisor helped, but it should not have required that much effort for an established patient to obtain something so routine. The second situation(10/06/2026) was even more concerning. My daughter developed a severe cough, was unable to sleep through the night, and had significant nasal congestion for four days. I called the office in the morning and explained that she was sick and needed to be seen. I was told that there were no same-day appointments available and that I needed to call at 8:45 AM to try to get a same-day sick visit. At the same time, I was told that same-day appointments cannot be booked in advance. I was also advised to take her to Urgent Care. I explained that we have insurance through this practice and that we chose to have an established pediatrician specifically so that our child could be evaluated by her own pediatric team when she is sick. I did not want to take her to Urgent Care unnecessarily, especially given the additional cost, and I asked if there was any way she could be seen that day. I was simply told that there was nothing they could do and that there were no sick appointments available. Unfortunately, this does not feel like an isolated incident. It makes me question what the benefit is of having an established relationship with a pediatric practice if, when my child actually becomes sick, we are repeatedly told that there are no appointments and are directed somewhere else. Who are the same-day sick appointments intended for? What is an established patient supposed to do when their child becomes ill? Shouldn't the primary role of a pediatric practice be to provide access to care for sick children, rather than routinely directing established patients to Urgent Care? I really hope the practice can reconsider how sick visits are handled and provide a more reasonable and patient-centered process for existing families. Parents should not have to repeatedly argue with the office or ask for a supervisor simply to get their sick child evaluated.
Our family LOVES Dr. Brenes. We have been seeing her for years and she has always been highly responsive, takes concerns seriously but is reassuring, and truly is just very caring. We would follow her anywhere!
We used to see Dr Silberman and he was the best. When he left the practice, we now see Dr Knight who is also excellent (the other Dr's are also very good). When we come in for sick visits, we are always seen same day. I love that all providers here are physicians so we are always confident that we are in the best hands. All Dr's here are compassionate and will go the extra mile for my children. One of my children is severely disabled so we require extra. All staff (Dr's and staff) know my kids and are very kind and accommodating. I have utmost trust in this practice.
I never leave reviews but wanted to because of how much we love this office. Excellent staff from receptionist to nurses and doctors. All the doctors have been truly wonderful but we especially love Dr. Murray. As a fellow doctor, I have been beyond impressed with Dr. Murray. Very thorough, great bedside manner, caring, compassionate, and smart. Cannot go wrong with any of the doctors though. Strongly recommend!
No one is working the front desk, and if they are they are looking down at their phones and being unhelpful to the people in standing in front of them obviously lost, looking for help. I checked in on my phone through the texts Baptist sends, but overheard someone say to check in on the “iPad device”. The device says my appointment was 30 minutes before the texted time. I’m offered no help so I call. It’s now 15 minutes past my appointment time, there’s maybe 2 people out here, and I haven’t seen anyone get called in nearly 20 minutes. I’ll update this review after, but so far this is a horrible experience. Nothing suggests I am in their system correctly and it really takes the stars and the moon aligning to find time with my work schedule and my kids to get time to do this. Turns out that the people who spoke to me told me to go and wait at the wrong area and after having found the right one, I am told I need to reschedule at their own negligence. I literally regret having to deal with his hospital per my insurance.
