Repeated issues with the same nurse Cotton. Different people different times. I had a family member who had a concussion from an accident heading to work. When I went to check on the person they had blood pouring from his injuries still work boot still on (steel toe) and incoherent. I went there because he called and said he was being treated poorly. The nurse didn’t take his shoes off and was so rude I asked for the charge nurse and made a complaint with patient services. (I won’t even go into detail about how else the family member was left) Patient services does not let you know what the follow up is other than they’ll handle it. Fast forward today my friend family member is in there and was being treated very poorly. Said the nurse stated how long he’s been nursing despite the fact she said what they were doing was hurting her. I told my friend on her way to check out what was going on about my experience and I even remembered his name and told her. With having kids , family etc who remembers nurses name unless they were one really nice or two really rude. Out of all these years he is the only nurse I remember. And guess who my friend’s family member got ? COTTON!!! He’s so rude and he’s stating how he’s been a nurse for this many years but the nurse behind him said the vein was blown!!! That’s why it hurt!!!BAPTIST NEEDS TO LOOK INTO HOW MANY COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN MADE ON THAT ONE NURSE AND BY WHO THEY WERE MADE!!!! Because I think that also matters!!
I have only experienced outpatient services at Baptist Nassau but every service has been exceptional. Each doctor has represented their specialty with excellence. Their nurses and support staffs have made me feel safe. Even the volunteers are well trained and helpful from the time you walk in the doors until you exit.
I was notified late Friday afternoon that I needed to have labs and an EKG before a procedure on Tuesday afternoon. I arrived at the hospital Monday morning around nine and was seen at check-in within minutes. After that, I was escorted to get my labs and then returned for my EKG. I was out the door at 9:43. Everyone was so kind, Helpful and pleasant. I was shocked at how quickly everything went.
I have had to come to Baptist Nassau now about five times in the past 2 months due to gastrointestinal issues. While there are some doctors and nurses here that are amazing, I was honestly made to feel like of lesser importance and some of the other patients being true.. I don't know whether it has something to do with my ethnicity, but the evening nurse Ronald was rode dismissive uninterested in my pain while the mornings stop with my nurse. Ashley was amazing. They said they would prescribe medications which the GI team did not request. Well, it seems like they're in a rush to get out of here at the end of their shift at things fall through the cracks. I was told it might have been better to go to the Baptist in yulee but I came back to this one as it was closer to my home. Quite disappointed in how I was treated by some of the staff here. We come to places like this to receive hair and get relief from the pain that we are suffering and figure out what's next. I felt like a number and not a patient. Very disappointed. Also, they made me review my meds out in the hallway for everyone and God to hear as to what I'm taking and that is a HIPAA violation
Had bloodwork done. Easy parking, easy registration, no wait. The lady who took my sample is REALLY good. Quick and painless. We are fortunate to have great medical resources so close to home.
