Procedure was delayed and I received a call the night before so I wouldn’t have to wait there. Checking in was fast and easy, and nurses made sure that my prep was as comfortable as possible. The procedure was done flawlessly and apart from a required four hour recovery it was a great experience. Highly recommend Baptist Hospital system for all of your healthcare needs.
From the moment I walked into the hospital, I was treated with dignity and respect. The receptionist was friendly, courteous, and professional. I was there for, a heart catheterization and was taken to the back by two angels by the name of Ashley and Leanne there they prepped me for the procedure with dignity. Once prepped and ready to go, another team of angels arrived to Tamara And Jenny. Both of these nurses treated me like I was there, brother or father. Besides keeping me comfortable and updated they have a Quality that’s hard to explain. They were so friendly courteous passionate and understanding This is the perfect profession for them, and I was fortunate to be one of their patients.
Outstanding care for my ICD implant. The doctors, nurses, and technicians are highly skilled professionals who truly care about their patients. They turned a stressful surgical procedure into a smooth, reassuring, and comfortable experience. I trust them completely with my heart health.
I wish I could leave a more positive review because several staff members provided exceptional care. My ER experience was excellent—Taimi (ER nurse), the physician assistant, Christian in CT transport, the CT staff, and a kind CNA all treated me with compassion and professionalism. Unfortunately, after being admitted, my experience on Tower 5 declined significantly. I was hospitalized for six days, and while nurses like Alisha, Rebecka, Brittany (Flex nurse), and CNA Ebony made me feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for, others did the opposite. One CNA, Brianna, consistently made me feel like asking for help was an inconvenience. After two days, I stopped calling because I dreaded interacting with her and eventually requested she not be assigned to me again. The most concerning experience was with nurse Grace. She attempted to draw blood twice with the same needle, seemed upset when I requested someone else, and later forcefully pushed IV medication through an IV I had repeatedly reported as extremely painful. The pain was so severe it brought me to tears. That was completely unacceptable. I was also deeply hurt when I overheard staff referring to me as "she's complaining" after I repeatedly reported pain from a malfunctioning IV. I wasn't complaining—I was asking for help because I was in pain. Being dismissed that way was dehumanizing. The admitting physician was outstanding throughout my stay. He listened, answered every question, involved me in decisions, and treated me with respect. My discharge experience was also disappointing. Once I was discharged but waiting for my ride, call lights went unanswered, I couldn't get updates about my medications, and I eventually had to walk to the nurses' station while in pain just to get assistance. There are truly excellent nurses, CNAs, and providers at this hospital who deserve recognition, and I'm grateful for them. Unfortunately, the negative experiences outweighed the positive ones. Patients deserve compassion, dignity, and to be treated as people—not just room numbers. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying on Tower 5.
Everyone from CNA's to all the nurses that took care of me, they were all wonderful. Unfortunately I've been a consistent visitor to the Baptist Heart Hospital, and I've never had a bad experience. It's not really a good thing when you know some of the above on a first name bases. They've always been great and I'm very appreciative.
