Dr. Victoria Ron was extremely rude and dismissive of my pain. An ambulance took me to the ER, I couldn’t extend my leg, my knee was locked straight, and I was worried I may need surgery. She sent me home with ibuprofen. When I asked what they could do to help me, she asks, why are your knees so messed up? You have the knee of a 75 year old man. She wasn’t joking, she was being rude because I asked to speak with her. She’s a terrible doctor. Zero empathy. Zero care or concern.
On January 27, 2025, I had to call 911 after suffering for three days with what turned out to be norovirus. I actually meant to write this review once I recovered, but life got busy and I forgot until now. Even though it has been almost two months since my visit, I still felt like the care I received deserved to be recognized. By the time I called 911, I had been nonstop vomiting and dealing with severe diarrhea for three days and was so dehydrated that I genuinely felt like I might pass out or worse. From the moment I spoke with the 911 operator, who stayed on the phone with me the entire time, I felt taken care of. When the paramedics arrived, they had to come through my garage because I physically couldn't get up to let them in. Every single one of them was incredibly kind and respectful, even though I looked and felt like absolute death. One of the female paramedics even asked everyone to step out of the room so she could help me get dressed with some privacy, which I appreciated more than she probably realized. They transported me quickly to the ER, and once we arrived I was brought straight into a room. The staff immediately gave me warm blankets and a nausea bag. Getting an IV was a bit of a challenge because I am anemic, extremely dehydrated, and already have very small veins, but the nurses were patient and kept trying. One nurse finally used ultrasound guidance to find a good vein and was able to get the IV placed successfully. They gave me two full IV bags to help with fluids and electrolytes, which made a huge difference. The doctor who treated me was incredibly polite and compassionate. I wish I remembered his name because he truly deserves recognition. Every nurse and staff member I interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. One of the women at the front counter even noticed I was shivering and came in to bring me more warm blankets and a cup of ice chips. She told me not to actually drink them, just let them melt in my mouth to help with the dryness. I had never been so thirsty in my life, and that small gesture helped more than I can explain. After the IV fluids and medication, the vomiting finally stopped and I started feeling human again. Once they saw I could keep the anti-nausea medication down and wasn't getting sick anymore, they discharged me with prescriptions that helped tremendously over the next few days. I cannot say enough good things about the staff here. I was alone, extremely sick, and honestly felt the worst I have ever felt in my life. The kindness and compassion from everyone I encountered made a really scary situation much easier to get through. Thank you to everyone who helped take care of me that late afternoon and into the evening. You all have no idea how grateful I was! This place is one of a kind, truly ❤️
I had a GREAT experience here. After waiting 4 hours at UF while having an active emergency, we decided to drive the extra 15 minutes and come here. I was seen quickly and the nurses, ultrasound techs and doctor were all extremely caring and actually listened to my concerns.
Every single person we interacted with was amazing. - intake, registration, P.A., R.N.s, physician. So friendly, answered every question we had without rushing us. My son felt comfortable and well cared for. I’m so grateful to have this facility so close to us.
Not usually one to leave reviews…but this one is definitely worth it! Everything was as great as an ER visit could be. Honest, compassionate, swift, and high quality patient care. Haley, Rob, front desk staff, attending ER Dr and imaging staff all showed care and support to us while I was a nervous wreck. Thanks all!!!
