I had such a great experience with Sophia! She did an amazing job on both my haircut and highlights. She really listened to what I wanted, took her time, and made sure everything turned out exactly how I envisioned it. My highlights turned out beautiful, and the haircut is one of the best I’ve had in a very very long time. If you’re booking an appointment, definitely ask for Sophia—you won’t be disappointed! 10/10 ⭐️ Thank you 📸 @bleachbysoph ❤️❤️
Ms. Tricia aka Tree, I am forever grateful to have had the privilege of learning from an exceptional educator like you in the foundations class. Your teachings not only honed my skills in maintaining impeccable posture and mastering the art of haircutting with precision and integrity, but also gifted me with invaluable life skills that I will cherish forever. Your dedication to excellence and passion for teaching have inspired me to pursue my dreams with renewed passion and purpose. I often say that waiting 26 years to turn my dreams into reality was worth it, because meeting you and being part of Aveda was truly a game-changer. You are not only an outstanding educator but also a remarkable friend, and I feel blessed that Aveda discovered your brilliance. I love you. ❤️ Oh Lauren, what can I say about you? You were one of those educators who instantly made me smile the second I knew I'd be on the floor with you. You are truly talented, and it's been such an honor to learn from you. ❤️ Thank you for always answering my million questions; those moments helped me so much in really understanding the ins and outs of formulation and color theory. You've made such an impact, and I'm so grateful for you. IG: hairbyarianajax
I had such a wonderful experience with Elizabeth L.! She gave me full highlights and a haircut, and I couldn't be happier with the results. She was incredibly meticulous and paid close attention to every detail, yet she still worked efficiently. Her skill and confidence reminded me of the experienced stylists I've gone to over the years. On top of her talent, Elizabeth was so pleasant, sweet, and attentive throughout my appointment. She really listened to what I wanted and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I couldn't recommend her more highly. Thank you, Elizabeth, for such an exceptional job!
1. I went there for a color and cut and was there for around 6-7 hours. So if you’d like half your weekend dedicated to a hair experience that came out horribly, come here! 2. The student I had, Ari, did an awful job that is now resulting in me having to come back two additional times for them to fix it. Not only did it come out so bad because she doesn’t know what she’s doing, but I couldn’t even get it fixed right away because I was going on vacation. Also, she pulled and yanked at my hair for the last 1-2 hours I was there. Loved that part - along with the headache I had the rest of the evening. 3. I was scheduled for a redo yesterday at 2 pm. I got a text from Aveda at 1:52, EIGHT MINUTES before my scheduled appointment, to say that they’re moving it to 3:30. Really unprofessional but I needed to get it fixed. I went back at 3:30 and was sitting in the chair waiting to have the instructor check in and discuss what I wanted done. I clearly articulated that I needed the massive mess-up fixed. She said that she sees what needs to be corrected and we can definitely do that for you, etc etc. So the student works to correct it and after waiting about 10-15 min with my hair in the bowl, she washes it out and asks me if I like the color of the highlight. I said no, I wanted them a more caramel color instead of blonde so we went through that same process again. All of that is fine but I assumed it was the first step in the entire process of fixing my hair. So the student is acting like we’re done now and I said that I was under the impression that the clump of highlight on the top of my head was going to be fixed today and I didn’t come in just to change the color of my highlight. Flashback to the instructor saying oh yeah we can definitely get that all fixed up for you after I explicitly explained what I needed corrected. Well then another instructor comes by and tells me that we don’t have time to do that today. Well perhaps if the time management/poor scheduling/whatever the hell is going on with running the place was addressed, and my appointment wasn’t moved to 3:30, I probably would have had the time to have it done. But because it wasn’t, I now have to waste even more time, gas money, and sanity to go back a THIRD time to get it fixed. Just spend the extra money and go to an actual professional salon; this place is being run awfully and they don’t care about satisfied customers. What I personally believe should have been done is the instructor telling me that their students do need to leave at a certain time, or whatever the case may be, but I (or any other of the instructors strolling around) will stay late and fix it for you - as I was told by the first instructor that it would be. THAT is good customer service, when you put in the extra effort to fix multiple problems that you have caused. That first instructor knew exactly what I needed done and she knew that my appointment was at 3:30 and if she knew that the entire fix was going to not be able to be done that day, she shouldn’t have told me that it would be. What was a cute (being sarcastic) touch at the end was the second instructor coming over to me saying, “Do you feel better now?” ….. I just rolled my eyes because you don’t even want to know how I feel. I’m just happy I was able to keep my mouth shut. But I don’t want anyone else to experience what I have and am still going through with having to go in there a third time yet. At first, I wasn’t going to write a bad review because I wanted to give them a chance to redeem themselves but now that that blew up in my face again yesterday, here is the review.
Hayley absolutely KILLED it on my hair from A–Z! You would genuinely never know she’s a student just beginning her journey — she was so talented, confident, attentive, and made the whole experience amazing. I went from black hair to blue and purple, and she pulled it off so seamlessly. It honestly came out even better than I had pictured in my head! Beyond how much I love my hair, Hayley was also just the sweetest. She was so kind, fun, and easy to hang out with throughout the whole process, which made the experience that much better. This was my first time coming here, but it definitely won’t be my last. I think I officially found my new hair person! 💙💜 I can’t recommend Hayley enough — especially if this is what she’s doing at the beginning of her career. She’s going to be incredible!
