I’ve been coming to this office for at least eight years. I recently called to request a refill for my son’s prescription and was told they could no longer find him in their system because they switched to a new records system. They said he would have to come in for another evaluation before they could provide a refill. It’s hard not to feel like this is simply a way to generate another office visit and bill the insurance company. A change in an internal system shouldn’t create extra costs or inconvenience for long-time patients. I expected much better continuity of care after being a loyal patient for so many years.
DURBIN LOCATION..I pit this is the wrong place. I was so pleased by the staff today. I was welcomed by a smiling Rebecca. She offered me some water and conversation. The waiting room, bathroom, everywhere in the back was clean. From the walls to floors. My nurse Katrina was super nice. She noted everything and took the time to understand my needs. I then met with PA Alex, yet another caring person in the same place. He addressed every concern. And took the time to note everything accurately. I was pleasantly surprised by these people who want to help and who love their job. This is a wonderful location Durbin Avecina. I appreciate you all!!
It is really hit or miss on the medical care you receive at this location. I normally prefer the location farther down Race Track road but the Julington Creek location is much closer to my home, and today I was just not feeling up to driving to the other location. The lady who took my vitals would receive five stars, she was very kind and attentive. The provider I saw, not so much. It was very evident she did not even look at my chart. She was definitely not attentive to what I was saying. I felt she was very dismissive of my symptoms and pain. It was evident not only with her words by also the sighing and eye rolls. This location is so convenient. I truly wish their providers were more personable and willing to take the time to listen. There was no one else in the clinic so I don’t feel it was a case of being extremely busy.
Yesterday after work I stopped by urgent care for an appointment because of a very personal issue that had been really worrying me. I did have to wait about an hour because they currently don’t have someone working the front desk, and the nurse was clearly trying to handle two jobs at once. Even so, both the nurse and Dr. Irina were extremely kind, careful, and professional with me. They listened to my concerns, took the necessary tests, and never once made me feel judged or uncomfortable. I’m very grateful that they made me feel safe and not embarrassed in such a sensitive situation. You can tell they don’t treat people like just another patient on a conveyor belt. These two employees are doing an amazing job, and I truly appreciate them.
Quick easy visit. I appreciated the thorough assessment. Most of the times when you go to urgent care they give you a list of prescriptions that actually can harm instead of help. I wasn’t sent home with a bunch of useless prescriptions just a honest opinion and OTC recommendations. Which was a nice change of pace.
