I have had the unfortunate reason to have to see this one particular urgent care for workman comp injuries as I am unable to go to any other location due to my job policy. I walked in at 1:40 PM and checked in with 7 people in front of me. The facility is clean but the wait times are out of control. I was quoted a,”high time because I do not want you to expect to be seen sooner than this”, which was a quoted time of 1.75 hours. But that’s okay, I get off at 3:30 PM and this has to be done on the clock so I have the time. I am use to waiting here anyways and expect it, no pushback what so ever. I wait. The 1.75 hours comes up and I am noticing individuals who came in after me are being taken before me. That’s okay. I ask where am I in line? “You are next in line and there are three patients being seen.” Okay… I’ll hang on because I have to get this done. Two patients leave. It is not 3:24 PM. I am holding on to the bitter end as I should be next… NO they take the single and last person there that had only been waiting for thirty minutes!!!!! That was an insult to me and the sad thing is I had to leave. Now I have to go back tomorrow and try this again! I am not sure how I am going to do it if this happens again. I am the most patient person I know and this pushed me to the edge of that seat. At 1527, I walked out. I pray this does not happen to you my friends.
I had a great experience during my visit thanks to PA Taylor. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and took the time to really listen to my concerns. Everything was explained clearly, and I never felt rushed or dismissed. Their professionalism and friendly attitude made the whole appointment much more comfortable. I truly appreciate how helpful and supportive they were—definitely one of the best healthcare experiences I’ve had.
Do not go to this location. They are lying saying it is mandatory for an EKG for Duval Co. Sports physical and that you can not get the sports physical without the EKG. My daughter’s school advised it was not mandatory and only for students who had never played sports in Duval co. schools AND that there was a waiver we could sign as well. Also, I paid for a school physical AND sports physical (plus the EKG they lied and said was mandatory) and they refused the School physical because my child did not have her glasses and failed the vision portion of the sports physical. Management spoke with me and said that she would not be able to register for school with a failed vision screening on her School Physical. Duval county schools advised that was ALSO false and that a child would not be denied enrollment because of vision issues. I spent 2 1-2 hours and $80 and left out with no school physical. I understand her failing the sports physical was not their fault but there is no reason why I should have paid and been denied a school physical due to a failed vision screening on a SPORTS physical. They would not refund me and were very nonchalant. I have been a St Vincent patient for two decades and this location makes them look horrible!
I had some trouble breathing after just walking down the hall of my home. I had a hard time sleeping and checked St. Vincent's Urgent Care at the Town Center. There were 100 appointments available. When I saw I was able to drive, I made an appointment for 12:30.I arrived about 12:20 and was in an exam room before 12:45. They were very thorough, testing for covid and the Flu, both negative, chest Exrays also negative. The nurse practitioner said possibly pnonomia or RSV, I was advised to call my primary care and cardiologist ASAP..I sent both an instant message and my PCP's office called before 9:00am Thursday morning to tell me they had contacted my insurance and got a rush approval of my cardiology referral, but to not call them for about an hour to give time for the transfer of all data from the 3 offices involved. Less then 30 minutes later my cardiologist office called me and told me to go to the ER. At the ER tExrays still did not show anything. However, after a CTscan and other tests, I was diagnosed with both pnonomia and RSV, just as the nurse practitioner had suggested and I was admitted.
Dr. Taylor Leard is the best doctor I have ever been seen by and that is coming from a family full of doctors. I have been seen by the doctor before and the results were awe inspiring she deserved a raise
