Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside

Ascension Saint Vincent Hospital in Jacksonville Florida located in the Riverside area cleanliness and service was horrible. The rooms and bathrooms were very very dirty. The toilet, towels, shower and floors had not been properly been cleaned or sanitized. Blood was on the floor, used tubes on floor, there was a constant leak coming from the shower.Housekeeping never came in the room to take out the trash or clean the room.When my mom who is 95 was taken for an eco, stress and sonogram test each time it took over an hour for the service to be done. We were told it was a line , they were short on help or it takes that long. For her stress test the nurses said she could not have anything to eat until after the test was completed. Once the cardiologist reviewed the test he would recommend her diet and they would submit it to the cafeteria to bring her breakfast, lunch and dinner. My mother never got a meal the day she took the stress and eco test until she was being released from hospital. No order had never been submitted and she had nothing to eat all day until around 5pm.She has medicine that she has to take twice a day in the morning and evening. The medicine has to be taken with food, however it was never given until her release around 5pm. They said she could not take any meds until the stress test was completed and the doctor read the results.When we complained about anything we were always told they are short on help or it takes that long for the test to be performed. The hospital need a complete overhaul especially with housekeeping and communicating within departments.There are telemarketing calls coming through the hospital line in which patients can not get rest because of the annoying calls constantly coming through.

I was at my worst after having 2 back surgeries within 6 days my first time having a hospital stay I was there for 14 days. Just got released yesterday Everyone was great from the doctor nurses dietary CNA To housekeeping, I didn’t wanna leave. I really didn’t. I want to think everyone that play a part and getting me better you guys are the best. You don’t realize how much you need help until you at the point where you can’t wipe your own butt they are some real professionals. If I had to do it all over again I would choose the same people. Physical therapy was great too real motivation. They really cared every nurse. I had really cared. You know how you tell of some people do it for the money or they do it because they care for people they all did it and do it because they care for people. I am grateful to have being in so many good hands. I wish I was able to think each and every person before I left that I had came in contact with the past 14 days while I was there if you guys get to read this thank you God bless you guys..Lawrence Wright (2320)

The hospital were all very nice. And caring.i had exceptional nice ànd the greatest nurses .they went beyond their selves to take care of me.i had Vlad he was greàt. And kind the best and had the nurse from Africa (sorry ) cant remember his name but he was the greatest also they were so concerned about . So thank you all. I have never in my life had such a wonderful, compassionate experience at a hospital. From the ER to my admission, every single staff member check in, nurses, patient care techs, and doctors treated my severe pain with extreme care, understanding, and urgency. I felt heard, believed, and safe every step of the way. You can tell the team here sincerely cares about their patients and their work. This stay was a true blessing, and I am so grateful for the exceptional care and clear path forward they gave me. They deserve far more than 5 stars. Please, if you want a healthcare team that genuinely cares, listens, and advocates for you, choose this hospital! Thank you all again!
