The lady who happened me at the front was nice and Dr. Shanthi Dhaduvai was very nice, I felt comfortable talking to her. With their niceness, it had put me in good spirits for the rest of the day. Everything was explained to me very clearly, they made sure I was supposed to do next as pertaining to my prescription and my referrals.
Doctor
If you’re a new patient trying to come to this office just do yourself a favor and schedule your appointment at a different location because the staff will make it clear that they don’t want you there! Also, if you see Dr. Krishnamurthy and don’t like your experience you cannot transfer to another provider within Ascension because no provider is taking transfers. So maybe go for another doctor or facility from the get go. 😊 My visit was not pleasant at all. When I arrived the check in employee was very kind. She was the only one there that seemed to be okay with being at work that day. She deserves a raise for staying positive while working in an environment full of negative Nancy’s. There is a lady sitting at the desk in the back and she was very loud about how my appointment was rescheduled from the end of July to today (June 5th) and my insurance needed to be checked and that she needs to talk to the scheduling team about moving appointments. So I immediately felt like I was a burden, but my appointment had been rescheduled for a week. They had time to check my insurance. I even made sure with the scheduler that my referral was still going to be effective. When the MA called me back she called me by my maiden name and I stood up and walked over to her and then realized she used my maiden name! So I said “you guys have my maiden name” and I didn’t think it was a big deal. I thought I could just update it while I checked out, but no, she goes “so is your name different?” In such an annoyed tone. To which I said “yeah, that is my maiden name..I am married and have a different name” and she goes “well then we have to fix that. Is your insurance different? Stop stop stop right here” in a very frustrated tone. The check in lady then said that my name was correct in the system and my cards have already been scanned in. The MA seemed frustrated. Everything was such an inconvenience for her. Her mood and attitude were terrible. A couple minutes later she comes to the room and takes my vitals, asks a couple questions and then says “well the doctor is going to be awhile because you’re a new patient and she has to go over all your records” and I said that’s fine. She goes to walk out and I asked her if she needed my records because I had them all with me and she said “well she needs reports”. I said “I brought them” and she looked at my binder and just seemed aggravated that I even brought that with me. She took it and then brought it back shortly after. Then comes the doctor. She asked me questions and went over my medical history, imaging and lab work. Throughout talking to me she kept downplaying my visit and making it seem like I had absolutely no reason to be there. “I could order an x ray, but I’m not sure … yeah I’ll order it” “it’s not xyz because …” just talking out loud in a tone that is insinuating that I am making this all up. She even asked me if my depression is controlled and I said not 100% at the moment because the chronic pain is affecting my quality of life and I am not able to do the things I enjoy doing such as reading, painting, socializing, etc so I feel depressed on my bad days. She said that my situation is not rheumatory related and that I should look into CBT with a therapist because my depression could be causing the pain. When this pain started a year ago I was happy and fine. It started from the duties of my job and progressively got worse. My neurosurgeon referred me to her because of the type of pain I am in, so I went. I waited 9 months for this appointment. 9 months of waiting just to be treated like I was a waste of their time and that I didn’t belong there. Like my visit was unnecessary, almost like I am a psychotic hypochondriac. In the end she ordered labs and imaging and wants me back in 6 weeks. This experience was a shame. I don’t recommend coming here. I got a referral for another provider at Ascension and then Joe called me to inform me (rudely) that no other provider within Ascension will take me as a patient so I am stuck with Dr. Krishnamurthy. I cancelled my appointment.
Love the overall encounter. From the front desk through the patient care. Everyone there including and especially the doctor make you feel as though you matter as a person and not just another number or statistic.
Dr Dhaduvai is amazing. I drive a long way just to go here because of her. The ladies in the office are exceptional and have great customer service all in all I would give it a 10 out of 10.
Dr KrishnaMurphy is the best. She listens to me Takes care of everything that hurts me I love going to St. Vincent‘s
