Annunciation Russian speaking Orthodox Church

I went today and I had a wonderful experience. For context, I am African American. Grew up Pentecostal and still Pentecostal , so I had never been to a Russian church before. It was out sheer curiosity and fascination with Russian people and culture that led me there. The people were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They treated me like a guest and also as one of their own and included me in their picture and meal. The Priest spoke to me and ate with me. They were very kind and it was such a beautiful service )in English and Russian). I don’t speak Russian but the hymns were beautiful and quite an experience. Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning with my sons.

Very nice community church with beautiful choir, lots of Icons and relics. Priest is a monk and he is very nice, tries to get to know each member, and parish is friendly. There are socializing time and great Russian food after the service. Some kids classes during the week days are held at the church. They often go on a pilgrimage trips.

Fr. Arkady has helped me tremendously, I have never met such a man of God. Annunciation Orthodox Church is blessed to have such a priest. Regarding the Church services, one must be familiar with the liturgy to truly appreciate, I have never felt as comfortable in a church in my life than when I am in attendance. Finally, the Orthodox faith has rules and structure, especially concerning the sacrament of Holy Communion. I am an American and have grown to love this church and the people of the congregation.
