The model homes looked great but I did not have a good experience with this builder (Riverside Homes). I found that they were dishonest and would tell me one thing and then once they receive my deposit, they would backtrack on their promises. My advice if you are wondering whether you should go with this builder: get everything in writing before you hand over your hard earned money. I lost a lot of money with this builder before we even went to contract. I can't imagine what would have happened if we closed with them. It's so important to have a builder that you can trust from the VERY beginning.
If you want a builder with integrity and one who prides themselves in customer satisfaction, owns up to their mistakes and builds 'forever homes' giving home owners peace of mind and quality, go with a different builder. Go with a builder who returns the downpayment/deposit when they have a client whose trust has been violated. It may be all about the money, but it's the client's money til the day of closing.
After struggling for 6 months to have our home where it should have been on closing day, we are finally seeing the finish line. This has been a horrible experience with AV Homes, one that most other new homeowners here seem to have gone through to some extent. Each time we meet a new neighbor, the story is too familiar. Too much misleading information from our sales associate and terrible workmanship on the home has led to a very frustrating situation that finally feels to be ending. My wife is outside right now cleaning up debris and concrete that has been left on our lot due to the finishing of the home next door. This has been a regular routine for months. DISGRACEFUL is the word that comes to mind as I think of AV Homes, too often. Our neighborhood is terrific and we have met many fantastic people here. We finally are feeling that moving to Florida and Amelia Walk was a good idea. Word is AV Homes is leaving Amelia Walk in the near future. I can only hope this is true and the next builder does the job we all have learned to expect from a great company.
Beautiful neighborhood. HOA is working in progress. Definitely in need of second entrance/exit for he size of the community of 749 homes. Which is just under the 750 required for a second entrance/exit. 🤔 🤷♀️
Watch the video of the home being built in Nov 2017. Roof not finished before sheetrock installed. House flooded with rain. Sheetrock not replaced. Builder group refused to replace rain soaked Sheetrock. Buyer asked to terminate contract because soaked Sheetrock will be a mold problem later. Builder group refused to refund $30,000+ deposit. That is just WRONG!!! Steer clear of situations like this!!!
