I am a breastfeeding mother. I had let 2 nurses know, and the doctor. I was given a hand written prescription and one was called in. The hand written was codeine, and if a baby was to have drank the milk while I took that it can cause many problems for the baby, its fetal. I wanted to let everyone know, I asked questions and informed the doctor of the breast feeding, and I donate to many other moms. If I wouldn’t have looked into it then not only my baby but others would have been hurt.

I came for an EKG to meet the new athletic requirements for high school athletes and based off the posts by the doctor himself stating these were offered. First, the check-in experience was beyond poor, was very accusatory and I was told multiple times (incorrectly) that my doctor will do the ekg when we have a physical done. I told her each time I have already spoken with my child's doctor and they do not perform these at this time. She questioned me repeatedly on what grade my child was entering, and finally asked my child directly what grade she is currently in and what grade she will be entering. Second, you need to provide education to your front end desk staff, specifically the older woman with short black hair and glasses on your social media posts and details. I was charged $50 for the EKG only and when I both questioned her and showed her your post she said that they are required together. I asked why it states two separate prices, one per service, and she said "well the owner posts these things and we have no idea about them." I stated her lack of knowledge is not my issue, I am requesting a refund for the over charge and she said "well, I understand that he posted it and I see it has two different prices, but that's not what it means and you have to pay both." Third, after waiting for 90 minutes I asked twice to make an appointment and was told no, the EKG is considered urgent care and was only offered as a walk-in option. Ince we were seen I will say Angie was an absolute pleasure to have assist us, even going so far as to offer us a granola bar because we had missed lunch due to waiting so long. We arrived at 12:09pm and I left at 3:39. THREE HOURS AND THIRTY MINUTES. If the EKGs were offered anywhere else I would have lost my money and gone elsewhere, but unfortunately the options are limited for private school athletes. While I appreciate the option to provide the EKG screening for students, your office was painfully and inadequately unprepared to actually provide the service as you, the owner and doctor at the practice, stated. This is my one and only experience with this practice and after waiting for 3 hours and 30 minutes and paying 2.5 times the stated and posted price, I vehemently recommend avoiding Amelia Urgent Care and utilizing one of the other Urgent Care facilities nearby in Nassau County. Edit to add - I was contacted by the doctor and told I overstated my wait times and the pricing was always for both a physical and an ekg and only having 1 would still require full pricing. The original post clearly details two separate services and individual pricingbfor each and I also provided my timestamped receipt of payment at the beginning of my appointment and the ekg reading for over 3.5 hours later at the end of the appointment.
Front desk lady with short black hair rude. When asked why I had to fill out paperwork because I should be in the system, she looked at me and rolled her eyes and said just do it. When she needed my license instead of calling my name she called me by my employer name. Claiming HIPPA but then the nurse called my name. When I asked the nurse why she called me by my employer and not my name, she had followed me to the room and said again it’s HIPPA. I replied I have Been Here before and never been called by my employer, I have been called by my name she said I know you have been here because you are always rude. I had only been there twice and last time was over 3 years ago and I have never seen this lady before. And certainly have never been rude to her or anyone there. I am a very polite person UNLESS I have been rude to and I most certainly will be rude back
The staff is very friendly there. The doctors are very patient, professional, and know how to treat you for your injuries. I would definitely recommend this place!
This place was terrible. Came in when there was no other patients and it still took over an hour for a kids physical. Stood at the counter for the first 10 minutes waiting on someone to come to the front. After we called out and they said “we are taking care of business in the back.” Then it was another 30 minutes to be seen which I can’t understand. There was no one here, no patients in the back, no one waiting, and still took over an hour.
