We had family visiting from out of town and took them on the 10:00 a.m. Cruise of Amelia Island and Cumberland Island. It was a lot of fun and we got to see dolphins and the wild horses. The narration of the history was interesting and I learned a lot about our area that I did not know before. I was glad that the boat was handicap accessible and a comfortable ride with lots of seating options. The Captain also gave out good recommendations for food and entertainment in Fernandina area. There was ample parking. If you go before 1:00 p.m. you do not have to pay for parking in the public lot right in front of where the boat launches. I would recommend this trip if you want to have a nice day out of the water.

My husband and I did the Cumberland Coastal Tour. What a great experience. Captain John was very informative about the history of Amelia Island, and entertaining as well. Saw dolphin, coastal birds and wild horses. Captain Kirk got was awesome as well. Highly recommend for a delightful afternoon.
Cruise to Cumberland Island was great, we chose the 2.5 hr cruise. Captain and 1st Mate were very knowledgeable about the history of Fernandina, Amelia Island and Cumberland Island. The Boat was nice and clean. Water was available for a donation. There was a bathroom on the boat. We recommend this company and the 2.5 cruise to Cumberland Island.
Beautiful day to enjoy a river cruise! We saw dolphins, a bald eagle, wild horses, and the Fort Clinch from the boat. There was a white wild horse too! Captain John had lots of interesting history that added to our experience. Relax and have a good time!
My husband and I booked the Cumberland Sound Sunset for same day tickets at 7:30 pm. I secured the tickets being aware that we were traveling and anything could happen, and sure enough found traffic on our way into to the state and had to reschedule for the next day. Rescheduling was done over the phone and it was super easy they were very accommodating. On arrival gps took us on the other side of the parking lot so after not seeing the charter kiosk or boat name anywhere, we walked around and found it on the other side of the building (used to be a restaurant that is currently shut down) and there were some people already waiting in line. Arrival for a 7:30 cruise is 7 pm and they promptly start boarding at 7:15. There are bathrooms on board (very clean, porcelain toilet). The charter is children, elderly, and motion sickness people friendly. The boat barely rocked, was vey clean and well kept and our guides were awesome. You can tip your guides with cash or electronically via QR code. The narration was great and very detailed. I don’t want to give away too much from the sights because it’s one of those “you need to be there, to see what I mean” experiences, but truly breathtaking! Additionally, walking distance from the pier are boutiques and all kinds of shoppes, very chic! Most of them close pretty early so my recommendation is to arrive a couple of hours prior to your scheduled ride and enjoy some shopping before the boat ride!
