Al's Pizza

Over the past 20 years, 99% + of the pizza we’ve ordered has been from Al’s San Pablo. This is the first time I’ve left a review. At approximately 6:00 pm Saturday July 25, I called in an order for one pizza. After learning time was 1.30:hours, I changed my order to the more acceptable pick-up which was the more reasonable 30 minutes. Upon arrival at the restaurant I could see a pickup line out the front door. My primary motivation for this review is to acknowledge the professionalism of the single front counter person Ashley. Despite the heavy line which included one customer with 10 pizzas, and a dozen with individual orders Ashley displayed a remarkable ability to keep all the individual pickup orders correct and by customer name, while at the same time taking new phone orders and running the cash register & processing credit card charges. She did all of this alone!! Despite the long line and high volume, she maintained a cordial smile, and kept the long line of customers & their orders straight, all with remembering each customer’s name, whether they had paid, and what they ordered. I’m sure glad I left an above average tip. Way to go Ashley!!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an excellent experience at Al’s Pizza on Beach Blvd! I ordered the chicken pasta, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the pasta was fresh, and the sauce was full of flavor. You can really tell they use quality ingredients and take pride in their food. A special thank you to the cook, Angel, for preparing such an amazing meal. Everything was cooked perfectly, and it made for one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend Al’s Pizza if you’re looking for great food and outstanding service!

I feel bad leaving this, but I felt like I had to. It’s the only way Al’s leadership can fix things. I’ve been in 3 times recently with friends……the 2 people making the food go straight from their phones, both of them, to adjusting their apple headphones, then straight to hands in the food. This is so unsanitary. I’ll give it another shot one day….cause the food is good. They are nice…..but the dirty hands going straight from phones and ears into food has to change.
