Small but well maintained park, complete with a playground, two butterfly gardens, historical sites, and a rubber walking trail. This area is accessible to all and appears popular with families with small children and individuals who walk their dogs. There are two playgrounds on the same site, one for ages 2-5 and the other for ages 5-12. I liked seeing the river and considered resting on the swinging bench, but it was a tad buggy and it was about to rain. There are two parking lots, one for trail goers/playground attendees and the other for the historical site/river views.
Beautiful park! My kids love the playground. It has a shaded area with overhang and picnic tables next to the playground- perfect for an event or parents looking to hide in the shade while their kids play. Beautiful nature trail down to the water. There is a butterfly garden, swings, picturesque overlooks, and a boardwalk out to a small pier you can look out into the water. Highly recommend, especially if you are looking for a reprieve from busy life and want to connect with nature.
Enjoyed a peaceful walk with my family around this historic site in awe of the many giant, whimsical trees, butterfly gardens, and well preserved farmhouse. Don't skip the walk down the long wooden dock to a beautiful view of the St. Johns River.
Really nice playground for the kids and a nice paved walkway through the woods to the river. There is a house that has been restored but it is not open and other buildings that are in a state of disrepair. Also a dock on the St Johns River.
Such a beautiful park and it holds so many memories for us💕
