Sent in an application to place my money with them and my application was denied. The customer service dept couldn’t say why and wouldn’t connect me to the “back office”. I have a credit score of over 815,. I pay all my taxes and have never had any issue with any bank. They said they sent an email (they did not) explaining why…. so I asked the customer service representative to have them email it again and they said they couldn’t. I’ve never ever seen an institution that is based on accepting money from people decline someone and not tell them why. Beyond frustrating I do not recommend Ally. With a customer service department like that, I would be scared to leave them or give them any of my money.
Complaint Against Ally Financial Regarding Undisclosed Salvage History and Mileage Discrepancies I am filing this complaint regarding a 2020 BMW 430i Gran Coupe financed through Ally Financial. After purchasing the vehicle, I later discovered serious discrepancies concerning the vehicle’s history, mileage, and salvage status that were not disclosed at the time of sale or financing. After attempting to sell or trade in the vehicle in 2026, multiple third-party buyers identified major issues with the vehicle history. On January 31, 2026, CarMax informed me that federal database records reflected the vehicle had previously been processed through Copart and appeared associated with a salvage or junk history. Additional research revealed records through the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS) showing a salvage/junk event reported by Copart Inc. on March 17, 2022. Further vehicle history checks also revealed inconsistent and non-sequential mileage records. When I attempted to sell the vehicle again on February 28, 2026, the vehicle was flagged as “TMU” (Total Mileage Unknown) by potential buyers due to suspected mileage discrepancies. Because of these issues, major dealerships and vehicle buyers have either refused to purchase the vehicle or significantly reduced its value. These facts are material to any vehicle purchase and should have been disclosed prior to the sale and financing of the vehicle. The undisclosed salvage history and mileage inconsistencies have substantially diminished the vehicle’s market value and negatively affected my ability to resell or trade it in. As a result of these undisclosed issues, I have suffered: Significant loss in vehicle value Loss of marketability due to TMU designation Financial damages related to ownership of a materially misrepresented vehicle Difficulty reselling or trading in the vehicle Ongoing financial burden connected to the loan I am requesting the following resolution: - Rescission of the transaction and return of the vehicle - Full refund of all amounts paid toward the vehicle - Reimbursement of taxes, fees, financing costs, and related expenses
Horrendous company. Wanted to pay off my car. They don’t take wire transfers so I mailed them a cashiers check FedEx. They now can’t find the check even though it has been delivered and signed for. I will never use this archaic bank again.
They inspected the car 5 months after I turned it in . And claimed one pair of keys was missing . Never a payment late . But they had to take money any ways . I even had witnesses that saw me turn in the keys. Talk about charging you what ever they want. So please make sure the dealer takes a picture of everything cause if not these people will steal your money.
I've never felt so disrespected giving someone 25,000 plus dollars. Their customer services isatrocious, their app wouldn't let me pay off the vehicle in full, even though I gave them more than what we agreed upon for the loan, they're saying I still owe them $86.13 and they won't take it over the phone. They make you pay a third party person who I gave authorization to charge my card 94$ and apparently they didn't. So even though I paid off my vehicle in full cuz it said the outstanding balance was $25, 205.33 on the app they're now claiming I still owe them. $86.13 I will never give Ally financial my business again and I'm going to be canceling my credit card once we finally figure out the payoff amount for my vehicle. I rather give my money to someone else. Anyone else!!
