Support Staff was wonderful but I was so dismayed by Dr. Todd. Tried him as a new PCP after moving to the area. I am healthy, very active, health conscious and vibrant in my mid sixties. For My initial intake visit - Dr Todd spent 6-7 minutes with me, tops . I spent more time with his nurse on my vitals and questionnaire- than him. He gave me my needed new specialist referral - which I expressly asked for - and then reviewed my bloodwork from another doctor - showing high cholesterol , and handed me a printed illustrated list of foods to avoid to lower cholesterol and said we’d repeat bloodwork in a month. No exam- no listening to heart, no overview of health . Visit concluded pretty abruptly . I thought I caught him in an “off day” perhaps, and he was simply pressed for time. But not a good 1st impression. 2nd visit was for a multi symptom diagnosis - a swelled spot on my knee - and sudden onset of pain in lower extremities one month after a freakish fall . He listened, but he said he didn’t need to examine me- and would just refer me to orthopedic specialist. I asked him a second time “aren’t you going to examine my knee or test my reflexes to rule out radiating pain from My back/hips.?” . He Repeated “it’s not necessary” but we can do X-rays if you wish. (Which I requested, twice, so I could be ready for specialist visit without starting from scratch) Lastly, when I asked about my bikateral leg pain, he dismissed it summarily , saying “this kind of pain is common considering your age” Appalling, dismissive bedside manner. Twice. . Thankfully, With amazing front desk and other staff assistance, I found a highly praised, attentive doctor in the same practice
He is a wonderful caring doctor who treats you like a patient not a number I am very happy I choose him
Dr. Allen R. Todd has been a tremendous support to my friend, both as a medical professional and as a compassionate individual. Two years ago, he provided excellent medical care when it was greatly needed. More recently, Dr. Todd assisted with a vital reference letter for the Greece consulate, enabling my friend to return to Greece. This act of kindness beyond his medical duties shows Dr. Todd’s commitment to his patients’ overall well-being. His empathy and professionalism are truly commendable. I highly recommend Dr. Todd to anyone seeking a dedicated and caring physician in Jacksonville.
Dr. Todd is amazing. He takes the time to listen to my concerns and addresses them immediately. I’ve never felt more comfortable at my primary care office. They take the proper safety steps to make you feel comfortable. Thank you Dr. Todd and your team for providing compassion patient centered care.
A great experience with Dr Todd Knowledgeable, professional and in the same time- friendly. By the time you get the chance to have an appointment everything is moving fast with good results. BUT - very bad experience with scheduling an appointment. Unacceptable long times( 3 weeks!!!) to see the doctor , based on the front desk , regardless of the health issue. I was told to go to the emergency room. This is exactly what I’m trying to avoid in scheduling an appointment with my PCP. I prefer to go to see a doctor walking- not on a stretcher. Other way - great results after visiting Dr Todd - correct diagnostic and in a couple of days no more pain. Hopefully their office will solve the appointment issue.
