My sister stays here in a very nice 3 bed 2 and a half bath apartment. Super high ceilings and a screened in porch are nice. The stairwell are wide and there is storage. Parking is an issue.
Lived here on two separate occasions and experiences were night and day. First experience lived there for two years and found the apartments very nice and well maintained. People were super friendly and staff was helpful and responsive. When my wife and I decided to sell our homes we were happy to be moving here. We were wrong. First six months were good as we had courteous neighbors. Next two and a half years were horrible with the last straw being neighbors from hell. We tried to resolve things with management but eventually had to move out as it was nothing but excuses. Should have moved out a lot sooner. Shame on us. Only positive is the maintenance team. They were pretty responsive to address issues. There are a lot of choices in the area and a lot of new apartments going up. Would suggest you look elsewhere.
I am a senior attending Flagler college in saint Augustine. I have been in and out of 4 different apartment complex's through out college and Alaqua is by FAR the best. I am a bartender/server and I am majoring in business so I know all about customer service, and the customer service here could not be better. Travis, Camy, and the rest of the staff go above and beyond with being friendly and helpful. Most apartment complex workers are just going to be nice to you when they want your money BUT at Alaqua everyone is super nice all the time. One of the best perks is they love animals. I have a collie named sparky and in the past it was impossible to find an apartment that would allow a dog his size. I had to buy a fake service dog ID on the internet just to get him into my last apartment! However at Alaqua they treat sparky like royalty! Every time I walk him past the office he tries dragging me in to get a treat and praised by everyone. The apartments themselves are beautiful super high ceilings and great appliances. Also the complex itself is kept very clean power washing is done regularly. The pool is gorgeous, bbq grilles are great I use them all the time, and all my friends still cant believe there is a mini dog park in the complex!
My review is for Jessica in the office. After touring several properties this past Saturday and encountering staff from each location, it was truly refreshing to be greeted so warmly. I was exhausted and overwhelmed and Jessica was able to put me at ease and offered refreshments while gathering information on my needs. We toured the beautiful property and the apartment I viewed was spacious, the appliances were current, not outdated, and the amount of storage space was incredible. Jessica gave a great tour and was knowledgeable answering all of my questions. I walked away with a clear understanding of the rental process and most importantly, the price! I appreciated her being personable while being professional. Thank you Jessica!
military families stay away if your spouse is about to deploy & you have young children !!!!! they have no compassion & don’t care if you need help. Edit: Jody was wonderful in helping me with my specific issue!!! As for the leasing office my review still stands, it’s a shame i had to climb up the chain of authority to get any kind of resolution. Living here has been incredibly frustrating due to how poorly the management handles tenant concerns. Every time I call with an issue, I’m bounced around from person to person—none of whom seem to know what they’re doing or have been informed about the problem. There’s clearly zero communication between staff, and I constantly have to repeat myself just to get nowhere. What’s worse is the cold, dismissive attitude I get every time I reach out. It feels like they genuinely don’t care about the people who live here. Instead of offering help or solutions, they make you feel like you're a burden for even asking. It’s unacceptable and unprofessional. If you're thinking about moving here, save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.
