Easily the best pediatrician in Jacksonville! Dr. Ali is fantastic and her staff are phenomenal as well! We've been taking our children to them since our first born arrived over 5 years ago. Very thankful for their approach to our children's health and well-being and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Im going to start off by mentioning that my family has been going to this practice for the last 4 years since my firstborn and we have been happy with them until today. The experience that we had today was honestly very suprising and very disturbing. I have never had such a disturbing experience before in a medical practice. the medical assistant was very unprofessional and was clearly frustrated that we were unhappy with the fact that what we came in to be seen for they did not have in stock. we drive an hour to this practice to be seen and another hour to go back home. imagine doing that commute to be told we drove up there for no reason. we speak to the doctor to find out that was not the case at and we could very much still do what we came for. after that unpleasent experience with the MA, at check out my wife talks to the front desk about future appointments and she inquires about the Medical assistant first name so in the future we know who to avoid in order to avoid issues. the front desk explains that we cant really choose who sees us that we can send a message to the doctor, in which we explain our concerns as to why we would like to avoid this individual moving forward since she did not want to provide the name.In turn the front desk personnel replies with " Please just go" completely and utterly disregarding our concerns. granted to say we will not be returning as this brings us concerns as to how staff members actually care for their patients. to the front desk person keep in mind you are the face of the practice. not the doctor or the assistants. you are the first individual people look at to gain the trust of the practice. you are the very first and last representation of the practice when a patient visits.
Obsessed with growth curves in early development. Will make any mother feel like they’re under-supplied and that they’re not producing enough for their baby because their child is not following a statistical average of thousands of babies. Every check in is centered on “what could the mother not be doing enough of”. Leaving every visit felt like an indictment on my wife not doing enough. Our insurance dropping their practice was the best thing to happen to Momma’s mental health.
We have had a great experience so far with Advanced Pediatric Care! They were able to fit my son into their schedule a couple of days after he was born. Their self-pay pricing is very reasonable and their office staff is so helpful. I feel that the providers listen to me and give good advice. They encourage me to make my own decisions on things like vaccinations and I always get helpful answers to any questions I may have. I definitely recommend Advanced for first time parents, or any parents with new babies!
UPDATE: THE DR HERSELF CONTACTED US AND GOT THEM ANOTHER APPOINTMENT. I'm so glad since I didn't want to go looking for another pediatrician. Thank you Dr Ali. ❤️🥰 We love Dr Ali but lately the staff just doesn't seem to care anymore. I've set an appointment twice, different times, for us to show up and say my kids aren't on the schedule. I literally schedule it way in advance and they are "surprised" when they look at the schedule and my kids aren't on there. The receptionists always seems to blame the other like do you not communicate at all? Y'all are coworkers. My kids have been here since they were born but I think it's time to find another pediatrician. While I love the Dr, it's just not as efficient and smooth as it was before. They also never answer the phone anymore. It makes me sad when they don't care about reputation anymore. Just another clipboard on the wall, like everything else.
