Where do our HOA fees go? Can't be going to any sort of regular or long term maintenance tasks or items, because it seems nothing gets done until it's waaay past due or it almost becomes totally ridiculous and can't be excused away anymore. Well, there is one item that good money is spent on, albeit senselessly. We keep paying for the landscaping crews to come weekly instead of biweekly during the winter and I just watch them go through the motions "pretending" to cut the grass as they motor along on the mowers. Cutting them down to every other week during the colder months would produce a significant savings. I've even mentioned this to a current board member and just got a blank stare in response 😮💨 A property maintenance specialist onsite to oversee maintenance and upkeep would pay for itself the first week.
