We visited today and were extremely disappointed. We ordered three chicken tacos, a quesadilla, a burrito bowl, fries, and a Coke, and the total came to almost $50. Unfortunately, all three of my tacos had beef instead of chicken, and they were missing cilantro. The quesadilla wasn’t good either. There was no indoor seating—only tables outside in the heat. There weren’t any fans, and the uncovered trash cans nearby attracted flies, making the dining experience very unpleasant. The restroom was also awful—dirty, with graffiti all over the walls. It definitely didn’t feel clean or well maintained. I do not recommend this place at all. If I could, I would have asked for a refund because the entire experience was disappointing. We left with zero positive emotions—only frustration.
This is truly the premier taco destination in St. Augustine. I’ve experienced some incredibly authentic tacos that rival the best anywhere and this has made the list. I’m eager to explore more of the menu, but I can personally vouch for the exceptional Birria Shredded Beef Street tacos and the Mahi Mahi, both of which were outstanding. The exterior ambiance is fantastic, providing a vibrant atmosphere, although parking is somewhat limited for a smaller stand. The menu is impressive, making it difficult to choose just one dish (and they even offer a spice level ranging from 1 to 10!). Additionally, they serve top-quality cerveza and beer. Everything is fresh, authentic, and embodies the quintessential beach vibe. The staff is remarkable, and the outdoor seating is ideal, featuring high tables, shaded tables with umbrellas, and ample space. This place is a unique gem that never disappoints. Lunch stop at Burrito Works Taco Shop and WOW 🌮🔥 We pulled up with a party of 6 and everything was hitting! You have to try the World Famous UFO—now I totally get the hype 👽😱 It’s loaded, crispy, and just next level good. The tacos? 100% on point. The birria taco was DELISH 🤤 and that Green Chile Burrito… y’all… HUGE and oh so tasty. Like bring your appetite because they are not playing!! If you’re in St. Augustine Beach, this spot is a MUST. Had a little mishap with the pager not working in the car and waited around 45 minutes to get my food. The staff was very sorry for the inconvenience and refunded me my money and remade my meal. Food was great and they made everything right again. Hard to stay upset in paradise. Prices were pretty reasonable for the quality and location. Will definitely be back i do recommend eating here. The wait shouldn't be past anything normal for this food. Thank you staff working today.
I stayed in St. Augustine for a couple of weeks and this spot was on the top of most peoples recomendations and for good reason. I tried almost the entire menu, the burritos are incredible. Everything is super fresh. Everytime I walked by it was packed.
